Get better. Stay better.

Physiotherapy is a fast and safe way to diagnose and treat injuries involving the neurological and musculoskeletal system. Physiotherapists provide services that develop, maintain and restore people’s maximum movement and functional ability. They can help people at any stage of life, when movement and function are threatened by ageing, injury, diseases, disorders, conditions or environmental factors.

Can a physio solve my problem?

Here's an example of some conditions we can treat:

  • Soft tissue muscle or joint injuries.
  • Low back or neck pain.
  • Headaches.
  • Orthopaedic surgery or stroke rehabilitation.
  • Fibromyalgia.
  • Arthritis.

Back pain and neck pain for example are extremely common complaints, with 80% of adults expected to experience such symptoms within their lifetime. We have highly specialised physiotherapists who have years of experience treating spinal pain.

The causes of back and neck pain can vary.  Sometimes injury results from direct trauma that may occur when lifting a heavy object, after a fall or from direct impact, such as a road traffic accident. Other times it may result without obvious cause or from a fairly innocuous movement. The good news is that serious disease or injury is very rare with the spine which is inherently strong and difficult to damage. Therefore X-rays or imaging of the spine are not generally necessary as they will not highlight the source of pain or change how we treat you. In the majority of cases, it is likely that a ligament sprain or muscle strain has occurred which cannot be detected with scanning. Whether you have acute or chronic symptoms, it would be appropriate to be assessed by one of our physiotherapists to help advise you on the best way to manage your symptoms, learn the best way to move, pace your daily activity and improve your posture.

Prospect physio incorporates assessment, diagnoses and treatment for injury and disease management. The physios here will work with you to tailor your treatment to your needs and goals, and also provide you with the education and tools to prevent future recurrences and to lead to a healthy outcome. Physios are experts at movement and functional disorders from birth to age-related conditions. Our Physio's are highly trained and uses tried and tested techniques that are extremely effective.

We are the perfect bridge between your painful back, stiff shoulder or dodgy knee and being back to full function and happily managing your symptoms. We are confident that we can provide the guidance, knowledge and hands-on treatment you need, when you need it.

We understand that no two patients or injuries are the same. Because of this our team tailor treatment and rehabilitation to each of our individual patients. We want you to get better and stay better, not just feel better (that’s the easy bit!).

Whatever the issue – be it a sports injury, chronic pain, or postoperative pain – we can use a variety of practices to resolve your problem and get you feeling like yourself again. We also offer massage therapy, acupuncture and pilates to ensure that your body stays on top form and no injuries return.

Common physiotherapy treatment methods: hands-on soft tissue mobilisation (massage), joint mobilisation or manipulation, exercise implementation to assist with joint flexibility and/or strengthening, muscle re-education, postural analysis and re-corrections, assistance with aids/braces/walking aids, dry needling, acupuncture.
