Clinic founder Karen Chan is now the first and only South Australian- based @fertilitysupport trained acupuncturist (and only 5th in Australia as of 2024). Students are trained to think outside of the box, question a little more and dig a little deeper.

Having a Masters degree in Reproductive Medicine (UNSW), an Advanced diploma in Fertility Acupuncture (UK), a Masters degree in Acupuncture (RMIT) and also a bachelors degree in Physiotherapy (SA), she loves being able to work with the integration of Western and Eastern medicine to help males and females in their fertility journey.

What to expect in a Fertility session

• Being a fertility detective: This will often involve a comprehensive initial intake to obtain your history of your fertility journey, medical history, family history, lifestyle factors.

• Western medicine investigations: Looking at the female and male factors, including blood tests, scans, surgical history, complex bloods, medical conditions etc.

• Comprehensive traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) assessment: This often includes traditional pulse and tongue analyses, and channel palpation.

• Integration of Western medical conditions with TCM

• Acupuncture and TCM modalities (eg cupping, moxa, guasha) +/- herbs: individualised sessions based on your cycles and condition.

• Education: Advice and suggestions to help optimise potential outcomes.

• Treatment plan: frequency will be advised based on assessments.
